Yeah when I was back at school doing my GCSE exams I kept looking at my friends across the hall and laughing. Idk why, just cause the situation was so serious I think lol had to re-sit the exam Oh yeah and when I got arrested. I'd rather forget about that one though

Aaargh me too...it's awful....when I'm nervous. When I was younger I would laugh if I got into trouble which got me into more trouble!
And I can't lie either..always laugh! |

OMG,I completely know what it's like to laugh when nervous!I had one of the most embarrasing moments of my life at a funeral. I had a really elderly relation who passed away, I wasn't close to her but my mum was. My family went to the funeral,it was a small crowd in the church(rural area, and mostly other old people who knew her attended), and my family were really the only relations of her there. So when the time came for the prayers of the faithful to be read,he signalled towards me and my sister to come up to the altar to read them. My sister started first at the stand, and prayed for all sick people etc., then it was my turn. However when I looked at the book it was a bible, and didn't have any prayers of the faithful in it, my sister had just made her's up at the top of her head. I stood there completely frozen on the altar, gaping like a fish at everyone in the church. Eventually my sister put her arm around my shoulder and walked me back to our seats, trying to pretend that I was too upset to speak. Once sitting, my sister and myself went into a fit of giggles and we COULD NOT stop! Our whole bodies were shaking with laughter nomatter how hard we tried to stop. The priest glared at us for the rest of the funeral mass, and I got slagged so much by my family. "A woman of few words"etc.

Oh get over yourself. You started a thread about people laughing when nervous, and this happened to be my example. I'm not the only person who has laughed at an inappropiate time. Different things will affect people differently. I for example have never laughed in a job interview like you, or have never gotten arrested and laughed, yet I find these stories amusing. And if you were on about the Immortal song, I am in no way cold hearted. I never once laughed at a funeral before that or since then. It was a release of all the nerves I had felt at being standing infront of a load of people, not knowing what to say. A few weeks later,my relation's husband even smiled about it and said that Tina was probably having a giggle in heaven at my expense. She was an old lady with a sense of humour, which is more than I can say for you. Why ****ing post topics if you are gonna get so offended with a simple reply?

My son is a huge wind-up merchant. Unfortunately, he's also one to laugh when he feels uncomfortable. That means, that when he hits the button with someone and they get angry, he then starts laughing, which makes it all worse
He never means it to go that far. |
