Default Big Brother has lost the plot.

This must surely be the last of big brother. The idea of the game was to isolate people from the outside world and for those people to nominate each other in secret. All these rules have now been broken and are therefore worthless. Goodbye big brother it was a hoot whilst it lasted.

I can't actually believe they've let them have REAL magazines from the outside world today. I thought they were going to make up stories for the HM's to get worked up about not actually let them read the real thing.

It does make a joke of the whole thing tbh, that coupled with the being able to discuss noms.

I now agree even more with Siavash's decision not to nominate anymore, the whole thing has just become pointless and a joke.

How many mags and papers were allowed in? This is an absolute mess- who's running this show? Losing all credibility with their insane decisions.

I'm not sure how many, but they definitely had Heat and Star or their equivalents.

Too right, I want it as far away from these producers as possible. They're spineless and haven't a clue.

What a sham! What kind of show are those guys putting on in there today? (Trying to do Scent of a Woman there but can't remember the exact lines lol)

I think it'll make for interesting viewing. I'll definately watch the highlights show tommorow which'll be a first in a long time, I hardly ever watch Friday Highlights now the eviction announcement happens in the second show.

I'm very intrigued to see how they react.

Proves it is now a sham to try and bring in the viewers. The best was BB1 from a purist point of view. 10 housemates, no contact. It was an experiment. Now it is so popular, it is just exploitation.

i agree that it'll be good to watch, but they are supposed to be isolated from the outside world. knowing what the gossip mags are printing about them is terrible. i very much doubt bb12 will happen

bb1 was my favourite for that reason. wish we could get back some of that innocence, but it will never happen. shame

It goes against the core meaning of BB but I wouldn't mind them doing anything to spice it up a bit really. This year hasn't been that good really so I'm all for anything to make it more interesting then it is at the moment.

I'd say in this case breaking the rules is okay sicne we'll get a lot of interesting reactions and we'll probably see who's fake and who isn't by their reactions. I can definately see and relate to why people aren't liking this though.

Certainly proves the old saying 'Beware of what you wish for!'

Being able to discuss nominations has only served to raise the levels of paranoia that were already in the House.

And now their total obsession with celebrity magazines has really shown them what those same magazines (and the public) think about them all.

Pity BB didn't do this an hour before the eviction though - wouldn't like to think that Bea now realises her unpopularity and walks before she can be evicted.

I think its interesting. People say that this series is the first time they have had contact with the outside.

BB7- Nikki being voted back in, she knew what was going on in the country and with the show.
BB8- The news task, where they found out stuff like Rihanna's Umbrella breaking the record for the most weeks at #1, and celebrity news ect....
BB9- BB letting the housemates see a HL show.

I dont read them but do you think they could be trying to get Bea to walk by showing her bad write ups?

You misunderstand the potential ramifications of it, We'll be able to spot fakeness as people change their gameplans and such. It could have an effect on the house.

OP - totally agree BB producers has lost the plot!

'Proves it is now a sham to try and bring in the viewers. The best was BB1 from a purist point of view. 10 housemates, no contact. It was an experiment. Now it is so popular, it is just exploitation.'

Moses1 - you couldnt have expressed it better! I totally agree BB producers are just desperately trying to prop up ratings !!!
