If David's "weight" is a touchy subject, why would you call yourself jelly belly? You opening yourself to ridicule. Not saying that Charlie was right to call him a whale but don't high-light that you are " carrying " a few pounds.

he probably did it as a sort of front.... some people can be really sensitive over something but still openly make fun of themselves for it... maybe a strange way of coping with it? :s its different when you pick on yourself for something. if other people do it it can make you really sensitive to it.
