Default A Nation Weeps

Today we saw the clash of the titans. Whoever won would go on and win the entire competition. It was the most eagerly anticipated and hyped moment on television this year.

We had it in our hands. It was pretty equal for ages but in the end they pipped us at the post.

The result? Spencer is out of Big Brother. A groan of disappointment was released across the nation when the result came. Grown men were reduced to tears.

Now... what would be an appropriate Kylie song to put on? Something to drown our sorrows in... the live bootleg of The Crying Game, perhaps. Or should we celebrate four weeks of brilliance by playing something upbeat like Better The Devil?

I think I have the perfect song. Shocked.

A groan of disappointment was released across the nation, Disco?

Actually, only 45% of the nation.

The other 55% were all cheering like mad.

Absolutely Miriam. It wasn't even as close as the Bubble/Paul clash.

I'm sorry to admit it because I know there are many on here who think the opposite, but I didn't think Spencer was very gracious at all in defeat. His interview with Davina was stilted, his answers clipped, and she had to work really hard to get responses out of him.

The only thing he enlarged upon at all was about Jonny cheating. He also said rather sulkily that he did shower every day, but not when others were watching. Kate however has just remarked how he didn't wash, stank, and wiped his smelly armpits with the blankets on her bed.

I'm sorry that he is out because he didn't really offend me, but there you go, that's what happens in Big Brother.

(ROB Stands back and waits for shreaks of 'Shock! horror! How could you, he was co cool?' etc.)

My answer is the sameas Brian said to Helen about Paul,

'You just fancied him!'

I DO NOT FANCY SPENCER ONE IOTA.

But I still think he was cool and personally I liked his eviction interview as well.

Still, wouldn't the world be a boring place if we all agreed.

Ermmmmm ROB, I dont fancy Spencer either

I think Spencer was a bit shocked that he got evicted fairly early on, but got no booos or anything.....

He looked very shy too...

Mmmm! OK, Lesley!

Didn't Helen go in the diary room to say about Paul,

'And I do not fancy him whatsoever!'???

No, I agree, it's good that we all have different opinions. I hope no one takes offence at mine, because I don't feel any malice towards any one of the housemates. I certainly don't want to upset anyone on here.

Going on there at all is, I fear, pretty foolhardy, and I agree with Dean's advice which was:

'Don't go on unless you have to'.

Whatever ROB!

Think what you like, but personally I think it is possible to like someone of the opposite sex without fancying them.

"How could you! He's lovely!" (Thought you might have been expecting that, so I'll type it!

I think he was just very shell shocked in that interview, I know i would be (and he was quite quiet in the house too)

Still made me laugh though.

I'll join in the weeping.........(but I'll get over it.)

I mainly just can't stand Alex, but I fear he isn't going to leave till he gets the £70000 prize.

I know its been said, but it's a shame that one of them had to leave so soon - although I despised Alex, I could see his appeal to people.

Such a waste when Sophie could have been thrown out......

Given that betting has been stopped early in every eviction this series I wouldn't take ANY of the votes as indication of popularity. The likes of Ladbrokes do not do this unless they have strong suspicions of cheating.

Additionally, I have had a few dozen emails from people unable to get through to Alex's eviction number. I wonder how many people across the nation had this problem - and why, if the pressure should have been on the lines set aside to evict Spencer according to the end result?

Although this may sound like the ramblings of a bitter Spencer fan (and they are somewhat!), I am also a fan of the show as a whole. I just wish I had the confidence in the voting system I once had.

..... Tim or PJ too Glitter_babe....I miss Spanky, especially when he and his gang got up to all sorts in the early hours..it was great for an insomniac like me....but also for the thousands of other people who had something to watch after coming home from a night out too. Last night's Channel 4 coverage had about an hour of snoring housemates for our delight...yaaaaaaaawn how boring. Now if Spanky had survived the vote, you can be sure he would have been up celebrating and having a great time into the early hours. Big Bro' have definitely lost one of the key elements to the programme now he has gone. He might have been asleep most of the morning or in some cases the day.. but he was always up and about providing the nights entertainment, I think this was forgotten in all mention of his contributions to the programme. Also he wasn't that lazy, he made all the fires and a lot of the bread...and as for showers..as he himself said, he did shower everyday just not at the same time as everyone else...I am going to miss him big time...I do already!

Me too Honey but there is always BBLB. I think he'll get on well with Dermot. Meanwhile there is an interview with him in the NOTW with a sensational headline. But of course he didn't say anything of the sort in the interview!! What a surprise!!

Click HERE to get to the link chilled tried to use in her last post.

There seems to be a problem with links as well at the moment as I have seen the same error occuring in a few that people have tried to post up.

If you want to use a link make sure you put it in url tags - in other words do this:

{url}the address you are trying to link to{/url}

but obviously with square brackets instead of curly ones.

Valid point, Disco. I do not bet, but one thing I believe is that there have been some didgy goings on. Bets have been stopped on all three evictees, Lee's odds tumbled before the evictions were made public, and Spencer went from hot favourite, someone on the inside must have made a few bob.

I also think that much of the show has been biased towards Alex. On the live E4 lead, there have been animated conversations at the dinner table, but they have cut to Alex mincing around the bedroom alone.

I think there has been a fix. If all the people who have had enough of Alex stopped voting (as he is going to win anyway) that would starve C4 of loads of money.

Hit them in the pocket!

As I mentioned a few days ago in another thread, I have interactive on E4, and 99% of the time the main 'A Stream' covers the Rich side and therefore unfairly... Alex and his activities... where as the 'B Stream' follows the Poor side which until he was evicted covered Spencer and his fellow housemates. Bearing in mind those without interactive get the 'A Stream' coverage this was and still is blatantly biased towards Alex. How the majority of viewers could get a balanced view of Spencer God only knows. All they got was the late night stuff when Alex and co. were asleep in bed and Spence was providing the nightime entertainment, with the ocassional look during the day often when he was asleep because he had been up all night. The veiwer would therefore only have the Rich side to get an opinion about Spencer from, and because they weren't awake when Spencer was...ie all night... all they saw of him was sleeping or when awake seemingly lazy and doing nothing....plus of course all his hygiene problems. Again when the Rich side housemates were outside sunbathing or doing other stuff in the late afternoon, Spencer would hop into the cold shower which they were not there to witness... so again they were discussing something they were just presumimg, which then would be taken as gospel because this is all the viewer was fed. It is very naughty of BB and very very unfair on half the housemates who are not getting a fair chance at being seen by what is after all the very people that are voting them to stay or go...it stinks big time.

It does it is biased but they dont really care about the e4 viewer this time, there only concern is to get the figures up for the ch4 edited programme it seems. Those bars have been a dead loss.
