Default There is no way to \'save\' BB.

No major channels are interested in purchasing it, there's not enough fans to launch a successful petition and it's not a financially viable option for C4 to keep it. There have been times when shows have been brought back after being axed (namely Family guy and Futurama) but the difference here is that they were cancelled when they were fresh and had a more stronger audience while BB's far from fresh and has lost audiences every year since BB8.

I understand that fans are upset but there's no point in putting your hopes up for petitions working and such because they've only ever worked twice and those were for shows with more fervent fans than this one. Just enjoy what's left of BB and hope they might bring it back in a few years.

Family Guy and Futurama where American Shows, big difference, if a 1% of the viewing audience petitioned to keep them shows on, that still would dwarf the numbers of people who watch this prune like shrivvelled up show.

I heard 3 years ago that Channel 4 had been trying to sell this show on and that Channel 5 and Living (of all channels), where in bidding wars.... However, apparently they where in bidding wars for about half the sum that Endemol wanted.

This show has been on a downward spiral for a long time and everyone in the business knows it, top Agents are turning their noses up at the "Stars" and they find themselves actually working for Channel 4 and E4 anyway, for a very meagre sum. Long gone are the days when housemates where inundated with work when they left the house, with Endemol at co. taking their finders fee percentage of course.

People have become bored of it, at first, it was a novelty, it was the closest thing to Community Drama on TV, it so was. However, over the years which have passed many more people are getting on the ball and going in with the so called "Gameplan", there is no ****ing "Gameplan", their "Gameplan" is how god damn architypal/stereotypical they can act. When the housemates talk about gamplans they are really talking about their performances.

People got bored of the endless conveyor belt of single serving trollop that got on the show (With regards to a few).

Every year there is your token blonde knobhead, every bloody year and of recent years, they have even been taking in two, just in case one doesn't decide she can go through with it.

And this year is the worst of the worst, I see plenty of posts on here on how sweet sophie is and how good she will do when she gets out. What? How good she will do getting her tits out for magazines and wildly trying to keep up the pretense that she has built up whilst in the house for various amateur reporters and photographers to gorge on?

Every year they have got people who are more and more hungry to do anything to get on TV, and it shows like a sore thumb, its like a badly acted Film, some films you can just SEE how desperate the actors are and that can be a real entertainment turn off for the regular minded person.

I for one, am glad its over, I really am, I am a fan, but the show has become all of what it once wasn't. My favourite series was BB1 and it always will be, it was just regular people from all walks of life who where normal, unknown as to what would become and didn't have magazine deals signed before walking into the house.

The reality generation is coming to an end, it has been for a while, and this is the final hurdle. You have to remember that this show was devised around the time at the begining of the internet revolution, it was a fad, as it started, it wasn't about the people, it was about the concept. Now that the concept has run dry, its becoming about the people, and as much as people like to think there is, there is no REAL never ending conveyor belt of interesting people, there is just a self serving pigeon holed dispenser that Endemol have to choose from. And much like people get sick of what is available at the dispensers at their work, people are getting sick of the self revolving people who come on the show.

For me, one of the utmost final scenes of death for me is when people like David come on the show, David was chosen for how irritating he is, simple as. They knew that Lisa needed allies who she would protect from nomination, David was placed in there to irritate the audience into voting, many others from other shows have been too, but David was well... the first, if you get me....

This show was a bit of a goldmine when it first started, the website was getting millions of hits, the contracts where coming in thick and fast and the sponsors where queuing. Rather than putting any real money back into the show, they went off on their trips to the Caribbean, with families and friends, had hooker parties, bought shares and snorted their cocaine.

**** it...
