Is this your top 10 or is that just a list you saw online?

Your list pretty much sums it up, but i would add these to it

Poltergeist
Christine
Candyman
IT
Pet Sematary
Dawn Of The Dead
Evil Dead 1
The Hitcher
Night of the Living Dead
The Thing

Nosferatu, remember it was one of the early horror films! Very eerie.

From dusk til Dawn excellent and of course the LOST BOys!

1.) The Innocents
2.) A Nightmare on Elm Street
3.) The Thing (remake)
4.) Videodrome
5.) Ring (original)
6.) Seven
7.) Alien
8.) Dawn of the Dead (original)
9.) The Texas Chainsw Massacre (original)
10.) Rosemary's Baby

I would have put the Wicker Man at number 1, but I don't consider it a horror movie.

Where's The Omen (1976)?????????????????????????????????

Probably one of the best and most realistically acted horror films ever.

Even the lead was out of the usual. Great casting to get Gregory Peck, who made it all believable.

Good call... I thought it was a much better movie than the Exorcist.

the texas chainsaw - the only one i havn't seen is "The beginning"
it just really freaks me out! leatherface is my nightmare and getting chased is just scary enough but by a man that looks like that and with a chainsaw, witha phyco family and put onto a hook no thanks.

Forgot about The Omen! My OH hates that child so much, he freaks him out! There was a Michael Caine film too about an artist who looses a hand, it is just the creepist film, more pychological than all out horror! Can't remember the name of it tho.

1] The Shining
2] Psycho [original. The Vince Vaughn version was shocking]
3] Silence of the Lambs
4] From Dusk 'Til Dawn
5] The Hole
6] The Scream trilogy
7] Poltergeist

I can't think of others - I wish, though, that there was a decent film adaptation of "Salem's Lot", that's just dying to be made. Amazing book.

I always find it really difficult to work out which films can be classed as horror films and which not so much. I mean the straight up slashers you can tell for sure are horrors (but the only slasher films I like are the two Texas Chainsaws). But the thing is a few of the films on my list I reckon some people wouldn't consider as horror films, like me personally, I consider the Alien films horror films, but not the Predator films. And I love Predator, but I don't consider it a horror film, more of an action, sci-fi thriller. But yeah anyway that's my top 10 horror films.
