Default Inbetweeners heading for the big screen?

E4 COMEDY The Inbetweeners is being made into a movie - with the teenage losers going on a disaster-filled holiday.

Writers Damon Beesley and Iain Morris have been commissioned to work on a big screen script by Film4.

It will see the Bafta-winning show's awkward foursome getting sozzled and struggling to meet girls abroad.

Damon said Will, Simon, Jay and Neil may finally bag a girlfriend - but joked they'll struggle to hire actresses who'd be willing to be seen dating the loser characters.

He told TV Biz: "We're working on a new movie and a new series. We've got really big hopes.

"We'd love to do the movie. Who knows, one of them might even get a girlfriend in it. But we'll struggle to cast that - who'd want to go out with them?"

They said some rude quips from the show, which won Best Comedy at an awards ceremony in London on Monday, have turned into catchphrases.

Lines are regularly shouted at actors Simon Bird, 25, Joe Thomas, 26, James Buckley, 22, and Blake Harrison, 23.

Another hit show from E4, Skins, may also be made into a movie. Talks have also begun over a novel based on the teen drama.

The first series was good, the second was hit and miss and completely repetitive and predictable. The film will probably be more of the same.
