How is Beyonce not an artist? she's written the majority of her albums ever since her DC days. just because she doesnt prance around in gimp masks and manages to be artistic in a less scandalous way doesnt not make her an artist.

I'm a huge Beyonce fan, she's very talented, but ''Sasha Fierce'' is sooo boring album...

On her last album she stole 6 songs of other artists and changed a word or two so that she'd have a writing credit and cash in on the royalties, not very artistic of her was it?& yeah she may co-write most of her music but theres always 3 or 4 co-writers and in some cases there can be 9 or 10.basically what i'm trying to say is that she doesnt have enough imput in her music considering how un-original it is to be classed as an artist imo.

Fail.
I think you're referring to the song's "If I were a Boy" and "Halo".
These are the only two songs that have caused controversy.
I'll deal with "Boy" first.
In this case, the song was originally written by an up-an-coming artist called B.C. Jean with the help of producer Toby Gad. After this, they wrote a further dozen songs, however, the record company rejected the song "If I were a Boy".
After this, Matthew Knowles was contacted by Toby Gad who told him about the song.
Matthew Knowles, known for his aggressive pursuit of the publishing rights to potential hit records set his sights on the rights to the song and to put Beyonce’s name on the writing credits.
Beyonce then recorded the track. However, her name was never on the writing credits for whatever reason. Probably Beyonce didn't want to claim credit were it wasn't due.
Toby Gad is known for this too. He has co-written over 300 songs, never once did he solo on the writing of any of his songs. And it is believed by Jean that during their writing session, he was just using her to produce songs so that he could sell them off to other more prominant artists like Beyonce and Rihanna etc.
After all of this, however, Beyonce and B.C. Jean had come to terms, part of their deal being that Knowles and Jean record a duet for Jean's debut CD.
MediaTakeOut.com reported that they had an official e-mail confirmation from B.C. Jean herself that Knowles had obtained "If I Were a Boy" legally and that: "Every time Beyonce sings that song I get paid... I even met with Beyonce's dad (and)with my manager regarding this...I still have the writers' shares!"
So all is cool with that.
Beyonce never stated that she had written "If I were a boy"
Now, "Halo"
Ok, to cut another long story short,
There's this guy called Ryan Tedder and he co-wrote "Halo" with Evan Bogart for Leona's American Edition of the "Spirit" album.
However, the release of the album was too long off in the mind of Tedder so he didn't let Leona record it.
Then he went to Beyonce, and the pair re-wrote it together for her "I am Sasha Fierce" album.
Now the controversy arises.
Then he went to Kelly Clarkson and co-wrote "Already Gone" for her "All I ever wanted Abum". Here, he basically just reused the arrangements in 'Halo" without telling Clarkson.
Clarkson found out about it after hering Beyonce's "Halo" which had already been cut in studio, and she felt as though she was going to be accused of stealing the song, so she faught with her record company to stop the addition of "Already Gone" to "All I ever want" out of respect for Beyonce.
However, the company refused and it went on the album.

And that's it.
I don't know where you got the "6 songs stolen" idea out of....?

ooh I never knew about the IIWAB situation, I prefer BC Jean's version <3

6 songs - Smash Into You, I'm assuming is being included after Jon McLaughlin's 'Smack Into You'.

Beyonce has been nominated for four MTV EMA’s

01. Best Song – Beyonce Knowles “Halo”
02. Best Live Act – Beyonce Knowles
03. Best Female – Beyonce Knowles
04. Best Video – Beyonce Knowles “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”

Well done Beyonce,
But seriously WTF are with the nominations…?
Why wasn’t she nominated for Best World Stage Performance also?
I mean, she has basically spent the year doing apsolutley amazing live performances of “If I Were a Boy”, “Single Ladies”, “At Last”, “Ave Maria” and “Halo”.
This is just craziness.
Then again, Gaga wasn’t nominated for any of her videos, which just goes to show that the EMA’s are a bunch of **** anyways.

Buskers give away Beyonce tickets

Selected London buskers are giving away more that 800 tickets to singer Beyonce's forthcoming concert at the O2 Arena this weekend.

Fans must ask the street musicians, who will be performing Beyonce tracks, whether they have any tickets and make a donation for their performance.

The "Beyonce Buskers" can be found across the city throughout Friday.

A spokeswoman said: "Some people have donated as little as 10p, but others have given up to £10."

This is true. Leona is very good in her own right.

I'm just waiting for her to get off the fence an release the 1 uptempo track she has ever produced as a singer "Outta my head". She probably wont because she clearly cannot dance.
