CURVY PROTESTERS REMOVED FROM LONDON FASHION WEEK
25 curvy beauties including Big Brother 2009 winner Sophie Reade were brutally ejected from the London Fashion Week premises today for being TOO CURVY.
The reality star and 24 curvaceous women were there to protest against the ban on plus-size models (often no larger than a UK size 10!) from various London Fashion Week shows.
Frankie Goes To Hollywood and London Fashion Week both celebrate their 25th anniversaries this year and Frankie makes a comeback with a brand new Greatest Hits package in November. Frankie and co are absolutely outraged at the recent ban and so have lent their iconic “FRANKIE SAY…” T-Shirts to the campaign for curvy!
The 25 girls marched to the Fashion Tent at Somerset House today at 2pm wearing “FRANKIE SAY CURVES” T-shirts in protest of the ban on curves. The attention grabbing image of 25 real, curvy women under the “25 Years Of London Fashion Week” banner sent photographers and crowds wild, disrupting the entire event.
Event organizers dashed forward and physically removed all 25 shapely ladies, mishandling Big Brother star Sophie Reade.
One of the models, Sarah O’Regan, 23 from Surrey was appalled at the way Sophie and her crew were treated. She added “We are hear to make a stand for all the real women out there who ARE NOT stick thin! It’s disgusting that they can ban plus-size models from the shows”
“Security guards were shoving and pushing all of us – including Sophie, this is totally wrong – she was there simply to stand up for us and every other British woman!”
Another model, Michelle Vuong, 25, who flew in from Australia for today’s event added “I flew back early from home for today, as I feel so strongly about this issue. I ended up getting pushed and treated really badly, there was just no need for it.”
