I don't get it.
Curvy girls aren't banned fom the catwalk.
Some designers, yes, have said that they'd never ever use curvy girls, but then there are designers like Old Viv westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier and Mark Fast who do use plus sized models.

So futile.

I am more likely to wear/buy clothing if a 'normal' size model or women is wearing it. Nothing puts me off quicker than a really skinny girl wears it on the catwalk.
