Is it just me or is the whole sob story business attached to some X-Factor contestants really irritating?? I find that even if I liked someone, the minute they start with the sob story it immediately turns me off them and I'm thinking "Oh, here we go......"

I'm exactly the same, it makes them very dislikable and it's almost as if they emotionally blackmail the audience. Plus the fact they ***** out the memories of dead family members to get a little bit farther on a tacky show is rather disgusting.

Sob stories ruin it.. because even if they do actually have talent I dislike them for bringing the sob story up - shut up and sing there's no need to let us know about your cat who died.

I know yeah and then the judges (usually Cheryl) start bawling when they sing a sad song and say Oh, they were singing that for their dead wife(brother, hamster, goldfish)
