Very very very deserving city. Rio needed it for Brazil's economy, which is going to be one of the biggest in 20 years. It's also the first time a South American country will host the Olympics.

TBH im glad Rio are hosting the 2016 Olympic games because, its a great city but also because, they have no chance in beating London 2012. They are not even building a new stadium and are just using one that will be 70 years old by the time of the games.
