Default Riots in Manchester Hundreds of protesters face-off at anti-Islamic demonstration

30 people have been arrested
as hundreds of anti-Islamic and
anti-fascist protesters have clashed in Manchester

The problems flared ahead of the
English Defence League's planned rally at 5pm

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...nstration.html

This is Typical no one can protest on there own
it would be better and unreported, even if they upset people,
if the protestors were on there own.

Manchester is a Area
that is has many groups.

Sign Of The Times.

"The sight of a Union flag angered supporters of the UAF, prompting a large number of protesters to go in search of its holder."
Unite Against Fascism (UAF)

Why did they do that ? they were holding a flag? Ridiculous.

It's a shame it had to come to that. To be fair Muslims do alot of rioting themselves and are never afraid of drama or blowing things out of proportion.

They say they're not racist but their chants towards muslims are.

I'm all for a group coming together against Islamic extremism and Extremist thought but there is a difference between a muslim and an extreme muslim.

They should, if they are really serious about this, drop the mob type mentality and nationalist behaviour and focus on politically changing the country so that we're not made to struggle and waste money and time, importantly time on stupid pandering to extremist thought.

We can't forget, we are a part of Europe and soon will be Europe so whether we like it or not, with the vast number of Muslims that will make up Europe - we should focus on working with muslims who want progression and modernisation and then, we can work with them against the extremists.

This way - these guys are just as bad as the extremists. Anger, Aggression doesn't help anybody.

There isn't a "muslim country", how narrow-minded can you get?

The EDL isn't racist but the majority of its uneducated, uninformed and ignorant members are.

What i mean is that most muslims that live here are from another country and they demand that we change our laws to suit them????

Am all for the EDL protesting against a disgusting law like sharia there is even some places here now that hasve inforced sharia law.

The EDL protest against " Militant Islam and Extremists " not against the religion

Its actually a Protestant country, hence the Queen. Any ethnics are in a very small minority (something like 5% of the total population). We're not saying they should **** off, just that if they want their stupid law then go back to where they came from because this is Britain, if they want to live here then fine but they should live by our laws. They can like it or lump it. They don't have to be here.

Yeah that's fair enough Andy - but it's some, not most muslims. The majority are pretty tolerant and happy enough to abide by the UK laws without demanding Sharia law.

and I dunno Tom, the amount of influence protestant christianity has upon our law is minimal, especially nowadays.

By the way there is no such thing as a fundamentalist muslim. All Musilms believe the quran is 100% truth and that dies in with our definition of fundamentalist. Muslims really have pushed their luck in this country, it is a piss take really.

The basis of most laws come from the bible and christian holidays (Easter, Christmas etc) are very much part of our culture so I'd say its still a Protestant country as long as we have those as well as a royal family.

After 9/11 a film crew went to some towns to film the local asians about their views..

Many young muslims had Bin Laden on their phones, the new muslim hero!

As in the way they acted when the whole drawings thing came out. They riot and protest about that yet cheer about 9/11. Also they think Britain owes them something, they want it as an Islamic state. They blow everything out of proportion and then you get the Muslim leader coming out saying this is a minority, erm I don't think so.
