Default Official Press Release: This week\'s task.

Big Brother Live Task, Saturday 29th June, 10pm

Tomorrow (Saturday 29th June) the housemates will be given their fifth task to complete live on Channel 4, and this week they will get the opportunity to bring down the bars that divide them forever!

This Saturday Big Brother will test the group’s power of observation. And this week tension’s will be running especially high as the housemates will be told that if they achieve 100% the bars will be removed immediately, but if they fail the bars will remain……

Tomorrow night at 10pm, the seven remaining housemates will be called individually to the Diary Room and asked a question about one of their fellow housemates. If they get the question right they will leave the Diary Room and walk straight to the rich side, if they get it wrong they must take their place on the poor side.

But there is a twist! If, at the end of the task, any of the housemates have got their question wrong, Big Brother will offer a suprise ‘Killer Question’ opportunity. This means that one person on the rich side will be given the chance to gamble their place in order to rid the house of the divide. The chosen housemate will be asked one ‘Killer Question’ by Big Brother – if they get it right, it’s down with the divide! But if they get it wrong they get to spend the next seven days living like a pauper.

As ever, prior to the task housemates will all pack their small bags with enough provisions to last them for the next seven days.

If the housemates fail the task and the divide remains, the rich side will once again get £400 to spend for the week and the poor side only basic provisions. Last week Alex, the winner of the musical chairs task, chose Adele, Jade and PJ to join him in the rich side leaving Jonny, Kate, Tim and Sophie on the poor side.

I like the sound of this task.

I have a feeling that BB won't make the questions too difficult.

GOODBYE BARS!!!!!!!

On the contrary this is just a nod at the critics, before they carry on in their own sweet way, safe in the knowledge that the focus group had spoken.

The questions will be pitched so that the bars remain forever......

I don't get this...I don't get this at all!!!

Will someone please explain what the Producers are playing at? I mean I was under the impression that the bars were DEFINITELY coming down so what is going on?
I knew the task would be involved somehow in the 'demise of the bars' but I had no idea that the above could still happen again.

I agree Miriam I expect Big Bro' will give the housemates fairly easy questions making the risk less, so there should be no problem, but still... the fact of the matter is that the risk is still there.

I wish them all the luck in the world they are going to need it.

It was always said that it would depend on the outcome of the task as to if the bars come down.

I have a Sticks doom and gloom feeling they will remain though.......Is it catching!!!!

I hope! the bars come down, but if not I hope Dim Tim is the only loser and has to spend the next 7 days on his own.

Can you imagine Dim Tim on his own for a week?
He could dye his hair without anyone else ( except us ) seeing him.
I would love to see him cleaning the chickens out on his hands and knees. He is a great critic of Jonny and Sophie ( before she left ) but they didn't mind doing the chickens. Left to him the poor things would probably do a runner.

It is of course possible that they loose - all of them and the bars stay with all the HM's on the poor side

Jill, you must be psychic!!!!

You only got the side Tim is on wrong.

He's going to be very lonely on his own, isn't he?

On the plus side, he has £400 to spend on himself.

I don't know whether to or .

The above Press Release says that the questions were going to be about each other, not about the house in general.

I still think that C4 wanted the bars to come down though, because even though the main questions were really quite hard, the killer question was quite easy - even though Kate got it wrong.

Hopefully they will get another chance next week.

At this moment they are talking about rebelling and walking in mass to the rich side. I hope they do......

Sticks - I think you were absolutely right - Ch4 are determined to keep those bars. They could have made the questions a lot easier - and, like others, I thought the questions would be about each other.

I hope they all DO rebel - or Tim joins them on the poor side (!) - it will serve BB right. This year's prgramme is really getting me down.

I think that the decisive question was fairly easy although made harder because of the pressure of the situation and the time limit. It was answerable though.

Actually, I think this is better than making the question transparently easy, like the questions were a few weeks a go. At least this way, the housemates fate was in their own hands, instead of being in a situation where they are being manipulated completely.

Also it makes for better viewing, if the live task is to be a Saturday night gameshow.

I thought that to - I even looked at my brother and rolled my eyes, saying how easy it was and she couldn't get it wrong. But then I stormed ahead, and I completely missed Alison and Lynne (I only realised half way through) so I guess it shows that it was quite difficult, and I should keep my big mouth shut.

I think it's quite funny theres only Tim on the rich side (wonder if now he has noone else to see the shopping list, he'll order some black hair dye....they say he's turning ginger again!)......

It was really funny when Tim made his shopping list and ordered a lobster, a cigar (£25) and a magazine (£100)!
