Is there a contractual agreement that contestants who make it onto the live shows can't re-audition? I've always wondered about that; obviously people that make it to the judges' homes have re-auditioned, e.g. Alexandra, but what about people who make it onto the show?

It must be. Cos the live shows,is like it,the furthest you can go(besides winning and all).Wouldn't be fair to reaudition.

I guess; but what if you came back as part of a band if you were a solo singer, or vice versa if you were in a band on the live shows? You wouldn't technically be the same act? I've always wondered about that...

Don't think that could happen, because they have a following as soon as they get on the live shows and it wouldn't be fair. People that get to the judges houses are forgotten very quickly.
