The nation has cast its vote to evict the fifth Big Brother contestant. Following Spencer’s eviction last week, the fifth person to leave the Big Brother house will be Sophie.

By the time phone lines closed at 8.35pm this evening, 1,038,770 viewers had cast their vote.

On hearing the news she hugged Jonny and assured the others “I’m cool honestly”. She then immediately unlocked the divide gate and ran to the rich bedroom to gather her belongings closely followed by Adele and Jade. She told the two girls that she wasn’t surprised as she knew she was up against strong competition. They then drank a toast proposed by Sophie to “stupid arguments that shouldn’t have happened and friendship when we get out of here”.

Sophie will be leaving the Big Brother House at 10.00pm this evening.
