So Long Friend

After the unbearable tension building up to the announcement, the aftermath was something of a relief.

Derek took the news like a man, maintaining a poker face and claiming that he had expected no less.

"Well done, Eugene," Derek immediately said as his friend fought back the tears. It was genuinely moving to see Eugene look so gutted. The two had a warm embrace before Eugene slumped down on the sofa looking despondent.

Derek learned that he would have just 30 minutes to prepare himself and had words of warmth for all of his Housemates. "Well done all of you," he said.

"It's my moment," he said, looking really quite excited, reminding Housemates that he'll be out celebrating his birthday on Tuesday.

In just half an hour Davina will be coming to take the latest evictee away and grilling him in the studio about all the inside gossip.
