I wouldn't say they were sucking up to Derek, like many of us they were probably fed up with the booing and thought it would make a change to cheer someone, all the housemates who come out at this stage deserve cheers because they have done well lasting that long.

Agreed, Science was an entertaining housemate but some people seem to still have this hatred for him even though he has left the house, pretty sad .

In most cases I normally warm to the housemates I don't like in the house once they leave. Derek is a case in point... in the house I disliked him immensely at times., but I missing him and think he wasn't that bad compared to some that are left in there now.
