Question Already winners odds emerge

Pasted from totalbigbrother (I did not write it, for copyright reasons)

Pamela Anderson and MC Hammer for CBB?

Even though we don’t know which celebrities will be going into the Big Brother house, bookmakers have already tipped some celebrities as potential winners of the last ever Celebrity Big Brother.

According to bookmakers, Pamela Anderson has odds of 4/1 to be the eventual winner of Celebrity Big Brother 7.

Rapper MC Hammer also has been tipped as a potential winner with odds of 6/1.

Will the bookmakers be right? and if you had to place money on either Pamela Anderson or MC Hammer, who would you be backing?

What i dont get is, to get the odds, people have to be betting already dont they?

How do the betting numbers work? like what does the 4/1 mean?
