Default Vinnie's language

There was a fascinating exchange between V and Baldwin this evening.
B was telling V about the AA prayer. V said "you will have to teach me that...... slight pause...you will have to learn me that."
People who are aware that they do not always use correct grammar when speaking often correct themselves. It is odd to do the opposite.
Perhaps V reserves his ungrammatical speech for his hard-man film roles and thinks BB is just another role.

Again with the looking into it too much. I think you need to go and have a little lie down.

Alex, that does not make it grammatically correct.
Of course, about 100 years ago in some rural areas, it was the accepted norm.
I presume you were not making a reference to that.

It is one of the things which annoys me more than anything - people correcting mistake which were not there in the first place. They do it on the news all the time.
