He said it was nothing to do with pay. The guy wants to spread his wings and work as a free agent. Wouldn't blame him for being sick of the BBC's policys.

He'll get snapped up quickly, his show regurlarly won the slot it was in so he'll be quite desirable to C4 or ITV.
