LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Friday's Big Brother final, which saw Anthony scoop the £50,000 prize, was the highest rated show on Channel 4 so far this year, peaking at 7.8 million viewers.
Unofficial overnight viewing figures from BARB reveal the 10pm finale was watched by an average 6.7 million viewers and a 34.4% share of TV viewers at the time.
At its peak, he show had a 43.4% viewing share - a higher peak than last year's final show which attracted a 41% share of available audience.
The earlier 8.30pm show, where Kinga left the house and Makosi was announced as third runner up, attracted 6.4
million and a 29.7% share peaking at 6.9 million and a 31.6% share.
The second highest rated show of the series was Saskia's eviction on July 1, which attracted an average of 6.6 million viewers and a 34% share of viewing.
Angela Jain, C4 commissioning editor, said: "We are thrilled that Big Brother has been such a fantastic success."
