Vinnie on losing "something must have happened" so what did that mean?

Vinnie kept saying over and over (after he was told he was a loser) that "something must have happened" to make him lose.

Question, was that Vinnie's arrogance or stupidity?

Did Vinnie still not 'get' the fact that he is NOT and NEVER was the 'people's champion'. LOL.

As I said Vinnie is delusional.
