Default Things they are a changing.

Read this on a yahoo news page, it amused me:

Quote:
The British National Party has voted to approve changes to its constitution that would allow black and Asian people to become members, a party spokesman said. The decision came after the far-right party held an extraordinary general meeting at a secret location in Essex, a party spokesman said.

It was arranged after the Central London County Court told the BNP to amend its constitution to comply with race relations laws or face legal action by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Party leader Nick Griffin told Sky News he expected a "trickle, rather than a flood" of applications from black and Asian people.

He said: "Anyone can be a member of this party. We are happy to accept anyone as a member providing they agree with us that this country should remain fundamentally British."

The party's democratic credentials were questioned by a BBC reporter who told Mr Griffin he had seen a journalist being "bundled out" of the meeting.

The BNP leader said the Times newspaper, where the reporter works, had lied about the party.

He said: "Because he is from The Times, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, and it lies and it lies and it lies about this party. So he was told 'we're sorry, you told one lie too many', the Times, so we are not allowing anyone from the Times in - kindly leave. He refused to leave when he was asked so he had to be encouraged to leave."

The BBC reporter asked if he would be removed if he said the wrong thing. Mr Griffin replied: "If you utter some outrageous lie about me... you won't be welcome again."

A spokesman for News International confirmed one of their reporters had been removed from the meeting.

Got to love the encouraged to leave comment.

Essentially control of the press.

Argument #4503 of BNP being a fascist party.

Before people jump to conclusions (a rarity on here, ha, ha) I am not a member or supporter of the BNP - but the above quotation does not seem unreasonable to me! Don't the majority of us want Britain to remain British, just as any other country should retain their identity!

But the majority of us don't have a hidden agenda. To re-patriate Non White's.

Personally i think Britain remaining Fundementally British is what the main parties should be saying, but for some reason they feel un-able to.

Indeed, it doesn't seem unreasonable but one can't help but suspect that a party that had previously banned non-white members has sinister motives.

Well it IS called the British National Party, so presumably WHOEVER joins is in support of their manifesto? In the same way, if people join any other political party, it is reasonable to expect that they would support the views and aims of that party.
Unfortunately, the more the media attempt to marginalise and villify the BNP the more publicity they generate, and in these days where immigration is such a huge political issue, they could well get support from disenchanted Labour voters.

Realistically, most of the people who claim to be be scoffing and ridiculing the BNP actually do agree with a great many of their policies and proposals,
and,
Yes, this would actually include a number of Asian and Blacks too.

I don't know if it matters though. I think it might be too late and already when I think of London I think of Arab culture, East Indians etc.
But the old England was great but.. well i guess the old societies churches make good mosques and its interesting you see many Brits incorporating old English culture, words or customs into their own.
Sentimental feelings there.

I just think one thing in this is.. ironic? maybe tragic is a better word. I am referring to the number of Jews who oppose the BNP and are extremely dedicated to multiculturalism and this movement,
yet,
as more and more Muslims (and others) and non-Christians replace the aboriginal Brits the more we might see Jews get persecuted, discriminated against and maybe eventually expelled.
Would that be considered 'ironic' if that happened?

Yes, 'ironic' is a good word to use for that situation. Another good word to use would be 'lol'.
