Default Robbie Williams announces Soccer Aid 2010

Soccer Aid is back for 2010 with two squads full of football legends and super celebrities joining the man himself, Robbie Williams, for the star-studded football match with all profits going to children's charity, UNICEF!

Robbie will be captaining the England team against the Rest Of The World XI for the biggest charity kickabout of the year as he hopes to make it a hat-trick of wins for the English side following triumphant victories in 2006 and 2008.

The match will be hosted by The X Factor presenter Dermot O'Leary and broadcast live on ITV1 from The Theatre Of Dreams, Manchester United's legendary stadium, Old Trafford, on Sunday, 6th June 2010.

The line-up

What better way to limber up for this summer's World Cup finals in South Africa than with this year's incredible line-up, which is sure to blow your football socks off!

The current star-studded list of confirmed players include legendary England strike-force duo Alan Shearer and Teddy Sheringham, plus Liverpool hero and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, Celtic and Barcelona star Henrik Larsson and many, many more! The impressive list of celebrities playing on the hallowed turf include world-famous chef Gordon Ramsay, Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe, presenter Ben Shephard and TV funny man Bradley Walsh. Wow!

Announcing the match, UNICEF ambassador and the brainchild of Soccer Aid, Robbie said: "I am so excited that Soccer Aid is back, and at Old Trafford once again. I have such amazing memories of my last game at Old Trafford. It will be a great time for football, with World Cup fever at boiling point, and there's never been a better time for us to show our support for UNICEF given the recent tragedies affecting children around the world. I hope the whole country will join me and support this fantastic event in June 2010."

Tickets

The great news is that tickets are on sale now for you to see Robbie and your other favourite stars up close as they battle it out in Manchester... all for the name of charity!

For Soccer Aid 2010 tickets, click here to buy from ManUtd.com or call 0844 576 2010.

Don't drift offside: you can also keep up with play via ITV's Soccer Aid website or at UNICEF's Soccer Aid page.

Love Soccer Aid so much.

Are they doing the build-up shows this year where they all go to training etc? they usually run for the week before the match...
