I've heard people say that they liked Eugene, but after he had got 50 grand, they thought it was fair for someone else to win. Yes. I think whoever took that 50 grand pretty much demolished any chance of winning the show. Had it been Anthony, Eugene would have won. Who was going to stand in his way, Kinga and Makosi? Yeah, right!

I agree with princess90, the hardcore supporters remained unswayed, but it influenced those who were undecided. It probably would have made a difference if Anthony had taken the 50K, but we'll never know for sure.

Yes, Anthony would've still won, even if it had been him that went to the diary room and he'd taken the cash. The bookie that was on BBLB after that did mention that Eugene's odds lengthened a little after he took the Ł50,000, though.

I think Eugene made the right decision and made the completely logical guess that he would be evicted because of it.

I totally believe that at that point in the game Makosi and Anthony both wanted to win more than just money. They had invested too much time to risk takibng the money and leaving.

If Anthony thought the same as Eugene [and I would have done] I think Anthony would have said no to the money so, had he gone to the diary room that night, the result would have been different. There fopre I think if he had gone it would not have effected the final result.

Long-winded but that's what I thuink and why.

That's not very likely, is it? Eugene is highly intelligent, but Anthony needs to take his shoes and socks off to count past 10. He would've taken the cash.

Yes I think it is the most likely thing. To assume you were going to be evicted if you took it is by far the most logical thing, in the moment, on that night.Anthony would have said no as he would have wanted to stay.

Yes Ruth but.... he wanted to try.

It makes total sense to me, having gone through 10 and half weeks, that Anthony would not have wanted to give up his chance to win. He knew had an even chance to win and, even if he didn't, why would he have copped out? [Which was at the time a reasonable assumtion.]

I sincerely don't believe he'd would have given up like that after wanting to win for so long. I think he'd have wanted to win even if the winner got nothing. He's competitive, he has that 'I have to win' mentality.

Eugene would have felt himself less likely to win because his many insecurities would make him doubt it and because he was a newbie housemate and one has never won yet. He did the right thing for him. Anthony would not have taken it and I'd have agreed with him, that would have been right for him.

No, it isn't. It would be logical for Eugene to think that, yes. For Makosi, who was convinced that she was going to win, perhaps slight paranoia along those lines. For Anthony, it wouldn't even have registered. Do you really think that logic is something that plays a part in Anthony's thought processes? He would've taken the cash.

They ALL wanted to win! Rubbish - Anthony was, if nothing else, one of the most openly greedy hm's we've ever seen. He spent hour after hour in the house talking about how he likes to spend money, and what he'd do with the winnings. His cash greed was far greater than any other concern, and that was obvious to anyone that watched the live feed regularly.
