All depends if you've had a knock on them recently. Have you?

That's true yeah, probably just the heat effecting your blood flow and then coming out into the cold afterwards. Nothing to worry about.

It's probably just the change of temperature.. It's like when it's really cold outside and your cheeks go really red. Nothing to worry about

That baby is SO cute! It's probably just the change in temperature. When I veet my legs the water is never warm and they always go a funny color after.

Sounds like hypothermia!
Probably not though. You wouldn't get it from being in a shower for a short length of time. |

There isnt wrong with you, de-oxygenated blood pools in the legs, as the skin cools the fresh bright blood that normally keeps your skin pink is prevented from moving through the subsurface capillaries to prevent over cooling the blood, this means that lower lying de-oxygenated blood is allowed to show through, this blood is darker in colour and looks blue/purple through the skin.
The purple hue should disappear after you warm up or start increasing the blood flow into and from the legs by exercising them. Last edited by Shasown; 02-04-2010 at 01:01 AM. |
