Was just watching this tonight, thought I'd see what other people thought of it.

Obviously, I don't have a kid, but I do have a 3 year old little sister which I find myself looking after quite frequnetly. I have to say that a lot of the techniques that are shown on the show are great and really do work.

Well, for me, my sister behaves like an angel, because she knows that she won't get away with stuff when she is under my supervision. But she would totally run rings around my parents similar to what happens on the show.

If anyone has a tearaway kid, then I strongly recommend watching this.

I like to watch things like that, and will find the tips useful once the time comes for me. I have a little girl who's now 10 months old, so it won't be long before I'll need all the toddler taming suggestions I've seen on TV.

Might have to tune in next time it's on!

I watched supernanny a lot but i missed it las nite n week b4 cos i watched the golden hour which was gr8

Supernanny is sooooooooooooo funny thou, it's like a comedy show than a programme

I have used a few of the techniques on it. My daughter is 8, and my son is 4. Another good thing about watching it is that it makes my kids look like angels. Even though mine have their moments, it's a drop in the ocean compared to the probs the kids on that show have!

Her techniques work though, and even though some of it would seem like common sense, I think it's fair to say that common sense goes out the window when ur kids have been winding you up for 12 hours solid, and you feel like screaming your head off at them. So, sometimes you do need to be reminded that shouting gets you nowhere. Not to mention the fact that all my neighbours think I'm a psycho!

Haha Stropz, some of the kids on the show are awful. I can't help but think that it's very wisely edited though.

Missed it. I don't normally watch this, but I saw a clip of the most recent one, where the son would only eat chips. But it was something to do with a bad experience he had or something?

Yes, Ruth.

The eldest boy would only eat chips and teh sight or feeling of anything else would make him sick, or well at least make himself get sick.

The parents are again hugely to blame though. They were so violent with him, like literally shoving a sausage down his throat. The way to dealing with it was to give them a choice....with two different meals, and also a reward chart, which always works wonders.

In my opinion that boy's troubles ran a lot deeper than just food.

I reckon he was craving attention, because he didn't get enough love and affection from his parents. His reaction to dad's cuddle said a lot to me. He is obviously not used to getting cuddles from dad. That's very sad indeed.
