Default Guitar or bass??

Hi

Im interested in learning to play eithe bass or guitar, but Im not really a natural. I tried to learn guitar a few years back but could only master the basc chords like c, d, f7, g etc.

I am also interested in learning bass, as I would love to be in a band or involved in music for a career.

I was wondering which is the easiest to learn?

Any advice would be well recieved.

Thanks

hi well i have alot of friends who play both instruments and they all say there both easy to learn, but seeing as i have only been playing guitar for 2 weeks now and i have learnt the basic chords and i think in couple of more weeks i should be able to move on to songs so its is easy but it depends on the way your going to get taught and if i were you i would get a teacher or a chord book with a cd,but i have also attemptd to play bass and the easy thing with bass is its only 4 strings and my friend has only been playing bass for 7 months and can now play songs on it,so thats all hope that helps and good luck with whichever one you play

Ah, guitars. They're for right-handed people.

...Unless you pay extra for one that's stringed for us lefties. I just learned to play right-handed instead.

Hendrix was left-handed.

Thanks for all your advice- I appreciate it.

From my old electric guitar, I hava a 10watt amp.
Can you tell me if it would work with a bass?

Also can you point me in the direction of a good online instruments shop where I could buy a bass guitar at a reasonable(cheap) price please?

Thanx again.

Chris
