Lindsay Lohan has said that a photo taken while partying in Cannes in which she poses next to a table lined with cocaine was "a setup".

The 23-year-old was reportedly shocked by the photo and said that she wasn't aware that the substance was even there, according to Radar Online.

"That's a setup! That's so untrue," she insisted.

The star posted $100,000 (£69,106) bail via a bondsman on Thursday to avoid jail time for a missed court appointment.

I've been in parties (house parties, in clubs...) where there's been cocaine pretty much everywhere. I've seen thing that I probably should have never seen. People asked me if I wanted some, plenty of times.

At the end of the day, people do nasty things, so let her destroy her life in peace. She knows what she is doing. Press attention, baby.
