BIG BROTHER 2010: WELCOME TO THE HOUSE OF FUN

BIG Brother unveiled its new-look house for the fi nal series yesterday. The famous building looks like a mix of fairytale and funfair. But it could be more like “Malice in Wonderland” for the housemates.



The show’s creative director Phil Edgar Jones warns: “There are so many shocks and surprises lined up this summer. We plan to end this show with a bang.”


The fi nal Big Brother will be launched next Wednesday, June 9, on Channel 4 at 9pm. As we revealed last week around 90 hopefuls will gather at Elstree TV Studios, Herts, to await their fate.


They all applied to be housemates but none will fi nd out if they have landed one of up to 14 prized places until the big night itself.


Big Brother will reveal live on air who has made it in and the others will be sent home.


And once inside we can reveal that a show favourite will greet the lucky few. BB boss Phil teases: “I can’t give too much away but when they get inside there will be a familiar face waiting for them.


“If you watch the show the face will be recognisable. It’s an old friend.” Yesterday the Daily Star got an exclusive preview of the house, which has had a major revamp since January’s hell-themed CBB.


It’s colourful and bright with a carnival theme. And as it’s the last ever series the producers have paid tribute to stars of the show from the last 10 years.


Painted on the bathroom wallpaper and on plates on the kitchen are images of host Davina McCall, 42, interviewing a housemate.


There are also drawings of Orlaith McAllister, 31, and Craig Coates, 26, kissing in the pool for a dare on BB6 as well as BB7 lovebirds Mikey Dalton, 27, and Grace Adams Short, 24. There are also plenty of pictures of chickens around the place, in homage to birds that housemates looked after in the fi rst few series. But there are lots of other delights. The bathroom has a shower big enough to hold several people. It has no screens so naked bodies will be on show.


Also in the bathroom is a sliding glass door which leads to a small confi ned area with AstroTurf. So far TV chiefs refuse to say what it’sfor.


The lounge is spacious with fl oral and bird images all over the place. It has a glass wall which leads to the blue Diary Room and the staircase to the front door.


This means for the fi rst time housemates can see people going in and out of the Diary Room and heading up to the outside world. Also in the lounge is a small alcove where it’s rumoured a surprise central feature to the show will lurk.


In the shared bedroom there are four sleigh-shaped double beds and fi ve singles. That means a total of 13 bed spaces so it will be a tight fi t if 14 do go in, as tipped. The walls have carnival photos of clowns, strongmen and horses painted on them.


Out in the garden the funfair theme comes alive with a carousel featuring three horses named Debbie, Jan and Amber Rose. (Thought that was quite funny xD) There is also a giant love nest there for housemates to sneak inside for some saucy action and a stone-clad pool for wannabes to cool off in. Images of bears, tigers, owls and rabbits are painted on the walls around the garden.


A show spokeswoman adds: “This year’s house is an eclectic mixture of circus and carnival, and the hidden and the mysterious.


“It is Alice in Wonderland meets Salvador Dali, as bright colours and unexpected motifs fi ll the interior and exterior décor in an explosion of patterns that resemble a fairytale gone bad.


“And as usual there is no place to hide...”

It's probarbly the sexiest house ever but it's definately the most confusing too.. A bear and ducks in the garden, a bathroom leading to a football pitch (sort of), a carousel smoking area and mirrors and glass everywhere!!!

Shaping up to be buddy bwilliant xD
