I don't think they were. I've listened to alot of The Strokes. But differences in opinion is what makes music great. I'm sure we'll agree on alot of other bands lol

i agree with the libertines being "indie dribble" although i do like them.
The strokes however are just amazing with is this it being one of the best albums, in my opinion, of all time |

I quite liked "Hard to Explain" back in the day. I think they were sadly victims of their own hype though as they could never live up to the hysterical praise they received from the mainstream music press.
New York has produced far, far better indie rock bands.
