I am sure they will have known each other if there is only a year between each other. I dont know if Shabby was a shy and retiring schoolgirl but I imagine they must have crossed paths over four years together.

I do know what your saying but I would think Shabby might stand out as would Ife. If Shabby was gay back then I am sure she would have spotted Ife's beauty and I expect Ife may have noticed Shabby in a four year period. It depends on what they were like back then I suppose and how many kids in the school too.

I use to get kids from the year below me coming up to me and saying hello years after, that I only vaguely recollected.

Maybe but I only knew one or two from the years above and below me when I was at school, depends how big the school was though I guess, mine was huge.

I forgot the fact that the final two years I was either too busy drinking or doing what teenage boys habitually do most of the time to take much notice of an awful lot around me.
