la roux! oh, musical groups, not dead lesbians.

Erm. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark are rather good. Eurythmics and Human League are the obvious candidates. Depeche too. Oh and New Order of course.

More modern stuff I'd go for Air, Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Empire of the Sun, Hot Chip, the new Gorillaz album, Saint Etienne.

Anyway, OP, electronic is a huge category of music with billions of subgenres. What in particular are you looking for?

You already know True Faith is the best piece of electronic music not by Martin Gore ever written, right?
