Default Favourite Xmas Songs

OK, so what are your favourite Xmas songs - both traditional and modern?

My favourite Xmas carol is 'Silent Night', and favourite modern song is 'Merry Xmas' by Slade - it's just not Xmas until I hear them!!

I like that Mariah Carey one, but I can't think what it's called.

My favourite traditional carol is Oh Little town of Bethleham.

This time of year is one of the few times that I miss teaching. As I used to teach music, we were always involved in lots of shows and concerts and stuff at this time of year, and it was good fun.

The Mariah Carey Song is called "All I Want For Christmas", I think. My favourite would have to be Fairytale of New York, though. The lyrics are genius:

You're a bum, you're a punk, you're an auld ***** on junk
Lying there on the drip nearly dead in the bed
You scumbag, you maggot, you cheap lousy ******
Happy Christmas my arse, I'd rather be dead

I'd forgotten the Pogues one Disco.

It's certainly different to your usual Christmas ditties.

As Brian would say 'How Ruuuude!!!'

Don't know what happened there!!

Anyway I like Ding Dong Merrily on High

And song has got to be Georgey Boy because you can't beat Last Christmas. It just shows you how good George is because anybody else singing it sounds awful. Especially those kittens last night.
