Default Sex and the City 2

Is it really fair to say the bad reviews of this film are sexist. As some people have done?

I think it's just a long overdue backlash

I love SATC the series and the first film was great but I've heard the second is totally shocking and should never have been made. I'll still watch it but I'm prepared to be disappointed lol.

Men hate SATC though - fact.

The whole Sex and the City franchise is a joke, why the hell would anyone want to watch an OAP horse run around New York getting laid?

The series is great, I was always a big fan but the first movie was a complete abomination :/ I much preferred the second movie.

I took my girlfriend to see it, we decided to go to a nicer cinema which was 40mins drive away. It was bank holiday so we got caught in traffic and ended up arriving a bit late. We rushed inside, and up to the VIP lounge which was upstairs. We said sorry we are late and the woman said it's fine and she'd take us to our seats. My girlfriend was a bit annoyed at missing the first 15 mins, but I wasn't bothered

The woman showed us to our seats and we sat down, and the film was already playing. I didn't have a clue what was going on, I don't know any of the characters so was just playing around with the controls for the chair, making it move up/down and leg rester. I was semi-paying attention to the film but I didn't understand what was going on. Every 5 mins or so my girlfriend kept giving me strange looks and staring at the screen. About 15mins in she said to me "This is the end!". Apparently the main woman always sums up episodes, and she was doing this in the film. Then just like that the film ends and I realise what happened...

The woman who showed us to our seats put us in wrong viewing. So when we got in our seats and thought we had missed the first 10mins of the film, we actually entered nearly 2 hours into it. So we saw the end 20 minutes of the film and nothing else

Vueue Cinema were pretty unapologetic, and it turned out this girl had done exactly the same to all the people who arrived late (there were about 10 people). They refunded our ticket money and gave us free tickets for any film. But we can't be bothered travelling 40mins there and 40mins back again (petrol!), and then spend £20 on food, it's just not worth it. So I guess we'll sell the tickets on ebay or something

Really?! I liked the first film because it had a storyline that followed on from the series, the second one (from what I've heard) is just pointless and just an excuse to make more money.

Yeah, well I don't know. The second one does stray a little the the lack of 'the City' is obviously a bit of a detractor LOL. But it sticks to the general premise quite well and doesn't stray from the storyline ridiculously.

I just didn't like the first one because I found it quite depressing and a bit...empty. The second one has a way better atmosphere and kinda brings me back to the good times in the series.
