But for Henry's handball we'd have qualified. Not bad for a country of 4 million, put in a hard group, unlike england.

How do you know that though? France played the better of the two sides.. anything could have happened in whatever time was left.

They were well within their rights to boo them off. The majority of them had probably forked out a **** load to see their team full of overpaid egos to go all out and try and win each game for their country, did they do that?

No, they didn't even come a quarter of the way to "going all out for the win," it was a pathetic performance and I joined in with the booing. I'm sure you would have done too had your team performed like that following such high praise and expectations.

You hav no right to boo your country after they've qualified for a finals. To say they werent trying is just another excuse by skanger fans to throw a wobbler.... do you wanna know why they played badly?? cos not only will the newspapers tear them to pieces when they fail their own fans will as well its pathetic.

Yes you do. I would say the same about Ireland. And let's not make it sound so treason-esque. Your not booing your country, your booing the guys representing them.

If you are paying that much to go to Africa and support your team who are being payed far, far more than you to do a job you don't think they are doing the best they can then you automatically earn a right to boo them if you think they suck. It should be printed on the back of the damn tickets.

Why the restraint? Can't the poor boys take a bit of booing?

Booing is all a part of fan passion, as much as cheering is but in a different way.

i said you have no right to boo your country who hav qualified for a finals. so your telling me you would boo ireland after they qualified for a world cup only losing 1 game?? and had two draws against one side who beat the reigning african champions to qualify and another who beat the euro 2008 champions?? not very likely, if england drew with san marino boo as much as you want, but to boo a side who havent been beaten yet is ridiculous

Their goals were either a deflection or cheating. france had the better of the 1st leg just, but ireland should have been 2 or 3 nil up in the 2nd, was only poor finishing and inexperience that let them down.

Put the technicalities to the side for a moment. The fans did not think the players were playing up to scratch. Thus, they got booed.

That's all there is too it, really. They paid a hell of a lot of money to get to Africa. I wouldn't be telling them what they can and can't do from the stands.

so booing a team who still have a huge chance of qualify to the last 16 is a way of motivation?

You're not understanding the situation, and that's a bit of hypocrisy there saying we're allowed to boo if we drew with San Marino but not Algeria.

It's not the scoreline that got booed, it's the nonchalent, can't bothered attitude of most of the supposedly "world class" overpaid players we have on the team.

With the exception of James, Cole, Wright-Phillips and Barry; we looked nothing like a team that should be breezing through the early stages of the tournament.

Respect where respect is due, let's say we did face San Marino and drew, but played a decent game, there's not a hope in hell that I would've booed them. But look at their performance last night which is probably one of the worst performances by any team in the competition so far, then yes, I am well within my right to boo them, and the fans that paid a shit load to go out there and watch them "perform" have even more right.

the odds of playing well and drawing with san marino are very slim. But its not through lack of trying that they are playing badly, its no coincidence that their poor form shows up when they'll get slated the most for it. Every england player last night looked so nervous and edgy because they know how their fans will treat them if it doesnt click.

Its obvious they need to pick up their performance in the next match, but will booing help that at all??

OK as Scottish I'll take over "We're sh1te and we know we are......". why do you have to subject UK to constant propoganda and media and adverts ye'll win the World Cup? It smacks of arrogance as a nation you have and pisses us off. No wonder I was wearing an Algeria top in the pub last night and we celebrated hugely the result. I've already got my Slovenia top but read th t-shirts "Robert Green No.1 fan" have been banned

Ireland.

Nothing but an ideal role for a man losing not only his tactical nouse but his marbles on the whole.

Funny how people of a nation as laughed at and pathetic as Ireland talk about England being ****.
