Default Craig Coates Webchat

Quote:
Craig Coates webchat

Big Brother's Craig Coates popped in for a webchat on Friday 18 November 2005, in aid of Children In Need.

Ex Big Brother contestant, Craig Coates

Former Big Brother contestant, Craig Coates, made a special appearance to take part in an exclusive webchat with BBC Norfolk as part of this year's Children In Need.

Craig, who outlasted Mary, the 'white witch', Orlaith, the model, and Kemal, the self-confessed diva, on the reality television show, kept the nation entertained with his arguments and antics with fellow housemate and winner, Anthony Hutton.

He answered questions about his part in the television show and his career since being voted out by the public.

Craig in the BBC Radio Norfolk studios

BBC Norfolk: Ok, so let's get started! We're here with Craig Coates from Big Brother. Hi Craig!!

Craig: Hello nice to be here.

BBC Norfolk: Here's the first question....

I wanted to ask - with which of the Housemates would you LEAST wanted to be closed up with again?

Craig: Kinga!!

BBC Norfolk: Why is that?

Craig: She is such a vile creature! Ha ha!

BBC Norfolk: Anything in particular get on your nerves about her?

Craig: Her whole persona got on my nerves! I think she was a greedy, selfish, fat pig.

Craig, do you still own Saint Hair ? Thanks for a brill BB - it was you who made it for us!

Craig: I have sold it, yes! I sold it as soon as I came out of the house for a really good offer. You can be excited as I'm going to be on TV again next year and I'm on TV on Monday on Channel 4 throughout the day.

Hi Craig, during your time in the Big Brother house, you kept mentioning the system Lords. What are the system Lords?

Craig: I don't know, I just made them up...

BBC Norfolk: (He's laughing quite hard)

Craig laughs at a question

Craig: Something off Stargate I think. I thought it was a funny name :-)

Are you still in contact with any housemates?

Craig: Yes, I'm still in contact with Orlaith, Maxwell, Anthony and Saskia. Obviously not Kinga! :-)

Kemal's going to be on the judging panel of Mr Gay UK, so I will see him. I'm really looking forward to it and I hope we don't argue! I'm also going to see him on Friday at the Big Brother reunion meal.

We found you very entertaining in the hospital task, especially when you gave birth to baby Britney. Which task did you enjoy the most and why?

Craig: That was my favourite task because I was centre of attention! It was the best task! I really hated the pirate task which was awful.

BBC Norfolk: What did you hate about that one?

Craig: It just seemed like a nothing task - nothing happened! It just seemed so stupid! :-) I didn't like the line dancing either. We had to get on the bucking bronco which was hilarious. But I don't think you saw everything that happened.

After your Britney performance would you be considering a pop career?

Craig: Well I have had Britney on the phone to me....ha ha, joking! Oh god... no I can't sing - even if I was paid loads of money as I don't enjoy it!

Craig laughs at a question

Are you living in London now Craig? Will you still make Norfolk your home?

Craig: I'm living in London at the moment in Chelsea! I live on my own and I love it. It's a really nice place where I live, it's expensive but I like it.

Everything's there - everything stays open later... but it's nice to have a change. It seems so busy though - I can't keep travelling back though as it's too exhausting!

BBC Norfolk: But you'll be back lots to chat with us here at BBC Norfolk, right?! Myleene always comes back to see us :-))))

Craig: Oh fabulous!

Anthony said he'd stay in contact with you. Has he kept to his word? Be honest.
I've heard you were moving in with Anthony in London, is this true?

Craig: I'm not moving in with him. My flat is much nicer and in a nicer area. Yeah we do ring each other occasionally. He lives in Camden.

The crowd gave Makosi a rough time when she left the house? You were sitting there on the night, do you think it was fair?

Craig: I didn't think it was fair but I thought it was funny and I joined in with the crowd. I was screaming at her across the stage.

I think Davina gave her every opportunity to come across as a nice person but she didn't take it. I loved her interview with Anthony because it was all about me....! :-)

Ave u eva kissed n e 1 else in da bb house?

Craig: If you watched it, you would know! I kissed Kinga, Makosi, Saskia, Lesley...even Vanessa. I think I kissed loads of them.

Did you see any of what happened in the pool?

BBC Norfolk: We're you jealous?

Craig: Yet again if you'd seen it, you would know I was right next to them! I wasn't jealous. I recommend it as a way to lose weight as it would put you off eating for the next year.

BBC Norfolk: Nothing like a good spat to help raise money for Children in Need :-) Moving on (quickly!!!)

Craig: :-)

How did you feel about being evicted in the surprise eviction, and how did you feel about Eugene taking the £50,000, offered to him in the diary room?

Craig: I loved my dramatic eviction. It was quite fitting for a strong character such as myself.

I don't mind that Eugene took the money because he needs the money. He's not going to make much money doing anything else 'cos he can't do anything else! :-)

I was sad to see you go in the surprise eviction, it should have been Makosi sat there, not you.

Craig: Ahhh

Did u really think that Eugene was trying to destroy ya?

Craig: No I didn't! I thought it was a great opportunity to break down his fan base and show his true dark side...!

Who would be your dream celeb BB housemates?

Craig: Van Diesel! I'm meeting him in the future! I've spoken to him a couple of times. My security guard knows him and does his security for him when he's in the UK.

Would you do any more reality shows - like Jade did ? We would LOVE to see you.

Craig: Of course! Look out next year... your wish has come true - and it's not I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. I couldn't do it, I would die!

What CD are you listening to at the moment?

Craig: Nothing! But I like Massive Attack. I never listen to the radio I think it's boring but I love listening to Late Night Love. It's great! I've been on the show as well - hope you listened to me!

Did you regret anything you did in the big brother house?

Craig: I regret not being so selfish.. like the others. I should have spent more time sitting on my arse being waited on! Anthony was the worst! :-)

What question do you get asked all the time?

Craig: The question is the question you've just asked!

Is it true that you are going to be doing a show where you are advising people on their fashion sense?

Craig: Apparently so. I've heard that rumour too.

BBC Norfolk: So how about some top fashion tips - take Rachel, who is typing for you right now for example. She's got on a black Pudsey t-shirt over a white long sleeved shirt. How could she improve this look?

Craig: I'd take her out shopping and she'd look fabulous. But she looks fabulous already!

Will you be the next Trinny and Susannah? So, you'll be like a really harsh version of Trinny and Susannah? LOL

Craig: I think they should look at what they wear themselves first because they model for Argos Additions! :-)

When is your birthday and what would you like to get as a present?

Craig: I've just had my birthday at the end of September. As a present I'd love a cruise ship - Tom Cruise has bought his fiancée one, so I’d like one.

How's the s_x life been since BB? Lot's of offers to <censored...> ?

Craig: Yes darling! Lots of responses as well! Not that I'm a *****....I'm just charitable - I do my things for charity - like today.

So, are you currently in a relationship, or just concentrating on your career?

BBC Norfolk: see above

Do you come back to Norfolk very often? Do you miss Mum, Dad and Bruv?

Craig: Yes I see my family twice a week in Cromer. Because I miss them when I'm in London.

Do you think the programme, and what happened on it, brought you closer to them?

Craig: Yes I think so :-)

What was your best day during the show?

Craig: My best day was leaving! Leaving the vile people - just pleased to be with everyone I love.

Who is going to be the most successful of the Big Brother house?

Craig: Well if you're judging it on everyone at the moment I'd have to say me! Because none of the others are doing much.

BBC Norfolk: Ouch! What is your back-up plan for when people forget you as being a BB housemate? (Of course we won't forget it!)

Craig: Tell them they'll remember me from the next TV show I'm doing, or the four or five that I'm doing!

BBC Norfolk: That's all we have time for tonight. Thanks for joining our web chat tonight with Craig Coates. Here's Craig to say goodbye!

Craig: Thanks for all your support, you're all great, you're fabulous, thanks a lot! xxx

BBC Norfolk: Thank you Craig. You've been a fun guest tonight and we hope you'll come back and visit us again soon. Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight on the BBC Norfolk website.

He is so annoying Totally uncalled for remarks about Kinga. And he says we can be excited because he's back on tv again?! I thought I'd seen the last I had to see of him when BB ended.

Since when does he have such a problem with Kinga? He was all over her in the house. And doesn't the fact that he's doing another reality tv show make him the most desperate, rather than the most successful? I wonder if it will be The Farm on CH5?

He seem's so self obsessed .

I can't believe his answer to Who is going to be the most successful of the Big Brother house?

Craig: Well if you're judging it on everyone at the moment I'd have to say me! Because none of the others are doing much.

When he was in the house, I thought he was a selfish, spoilt, self-involved, spiteful little brat - and I've seen nothing in that webchat to change my mind.
