Default Gay/Bi Population Growing

I remember it was once mentioned that Big Brother tries to pick what best represents the general public. In the beginning there would be the odd homosexual or bi-curious on BB. Now it seems that half of them are gay or up for experimenting with the same-sex.

Shabby and Mario are full blown. Ben, Caoimhe, Corin, Govan mentioned being bi.

Of the 60m in the UK, do 50% go both ways? Or are homosexuals just more entertaining to watch?

BB has been leaning the other way for some years now. Where have you been?

I don't think peoples sexuality, for the most part, is strictly gay or straight. I'm sure over half would chose to have an encounter with someone of the same gender.

I watched the first few BB, moved to Cyprus for a few years, come back and now watching a bunch of sexually confused HMs.

Really? I read that of the 60m, only 3.6m are up for same-sex action. Of course, these things aren't always accurate.

As a Gay man myself I can certainly vouch that a lot of so called "straight" and "married" men experiment or are prepared to given the right circumstances. You only have to go to the local pick up haunts and the majority there who are cruising are married or supposedly straight men.

I think as was mentioned in a previous thread - a lot of it is a phase people go through - because they can! Pound to a penny - a lot of them we end up married with kids and refer to themselves as hetro in a few years time!

Can I also point out that it works in reverse as well. A lot of unhappily married men with kids divorce and end up in a long term Gay relationship instead, I am proof of that and come across it all the time.

Sorry, but as a product of the 1950s I was pressurised to conform and got married even though, when I think back, I had thoughts about men well before my teens!

Today, with all the new pro Gay laws we are able to come out much easier. It's certainly not a "phase" as you put it?!

I don't doubt that - there are a lot of genuine gay people out there, I never said otherwise! But as I said before - I think a lot of youngsters today are experimenting precisely because they can - it doesn't make them true gays! A lot say it because they think it is cool! But being cool - is being real, and being true to yourself - gay or otherwise!

I think half the population would like to have an experience with the same sex, I don't think half of the population is bisexual or gay, it's a completely different thing.

BB5 was probably the most diverse house for sexuality. BB3 was almost exclusively straight apart from bisexual Adele (one of the few genuine bisexuals on BB I can recall). BB9 had only one gay and he was a monster.

Think it's to do with the fact the team who chose which people enter the house and the production team are mostly gays. I know that for a fact.

It is the choice of a production team to produce their own ideas. They always choose someone who they consider represents the upper class twit.
No chance of them representing all the 'upper class' who serve as leaders in the army.
There are twits in all walks of life they just like to ridicule certain groups of people.

Last years housemates were also predominately sexual experimenters. Pity they dont realise this does not make someone entertaining. I thought Dan was great but I had no patience with Charlie who was plain nasty or Shabby who is very mean spirited no matter what her sexuality is.

You can argue alsorts but the fact is 14 people on a tv show (especially this tv show) does not represent a scientifically selected sample of the population.

I decided that it's not really a rise in the gay/bi population, it's just an attention ***** epidemic.
