I'll have to go with Andy - just because he's beginning to become a bit bland and predictable in his song choices.

andy
hes too much like steve and steve proved theres no place in the market for a singer like him to have a long term career i think if the winner from this years show is a one hit wonder then there will be no x factor 3 thats why shayne ward should win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The problem with Steve was hit attitude and that he was a soul singer that was in fact souless.
They just have to give the winning act the right song's, and mainly original ones and then they will be fine. The current market is difficult and it's based on your song's. |

I voted Andy. He's got a good voice, but I don't think he'll make it.

It's between JS and Andy for me. Shayne and Brenda will be in the final unless they mess up big time.

I think Andy will go next. He has a great voice, but his songs are a bit boring and predictable.

The singles market is unpredictable, but you can still get away with selling any old tat as far as albums are concerned. G4's first album was all covers, and it sold more copies in its first week of release than brookstain's has in total. If Jon didn't look like a girl and have the ability to cry to order, I don't think they'd ever have got as far as an album of duets with 'friends' they've never met. And people are still buying Westlife records, which I'll never be able to understand. I think Brenda should go, as she's the weakest act left now. I thought it was going to be a Shayne vs. Andy final, but of course it will be three acts in the final this year instead. It always annoys me when people suggest that it's somehow corrupt, but I do think that each judge will be left with one act each in the final on December 17th. I think Shayne will make it on his own fan base, and Simon & Sharon have a lot of supporters that back them as much, if not more, than their acts. Andy is without doubt the best vocalist left, but as many have noted he's quite boring, and he's been below par for the last few weeks. So I think Andy will go this Saturday. |

A lot of the popular music nowadays is Alternative Rock, i.e. Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, White Stripes, Kasabian to name but a few. Andy, as many have said, is boring, and is almost identical to Brookstein. Shayne is not a dancer, as far as I can tell, he might do well to begin with, but soon he'll shrink away, rather like Craig David has done. Nice singers, but over my dead body will I call them good.
Brenda is a bit of a wildcard, it's rather like Motown's had a revival if she does indeed win. Which leaves JS with their country sound. They could do well in America where Shania Twain + Toby Keith are really nailing it. So to be honest, I reckon they made a mistake a really, really big mistake in letting Maria go. |

Kaiser Chiefs and The White Stripes have pop sensibilities that give them wider appeal. Kasabian aren't particularly successful, and Arctic Monkeys are an unknown quantity, as they've not even released their debut album yet. There's a massive difference between Andy and brookstain. He wants it, rather than thinking that he deserves it. Much of his nervousness on stage would be eradicated in the studio, and although I still don't think that he'd sell many albums, he's a million miles closer to 'soul' than brookstain ever was. Are we merging Saturday evenings on BBC1 with ITV1 here? What's dancing ability got to do with anything? Shayne would be steered more down a Robbie Williams route than that of Craig David - perhaps you're confusing him with Nicholas?
Brenda in the same sentence as Motown? That's like comparing Jeffrey Archer to Dickens! Journey South are semi-acoustic soft rock, perhaps with a slight folk twist (still waiting for them to tackle Simon & Garfunkel). I don't see where you get 'country' from at all. |

It's gonna be a tough choice this week.
I reallly think it is going to be Andy. Out of the three he isn't my least favourite but from what most people seem to be thinking I'll plump for him. God, it wasn't long ago when Sharon was bragging endlessly about her threeeee acts, was it? |
