Default Nathan vs. John James for Alpha-Male?
Nathan and John James are both quite strong male housemates in the house, and they dont seem to speak much. For example, they both really like the footy and could have had a good conversation whilst the match was on but instead just blanked each other. Do you think theyre both a bit jelous of one another and are wanting to be the alpha-male? I think Josie is a key housemate as JJ was very interested in how well she got on with Nathan, as if whoever she prefers is 'winner'.

Personally I dont think there is an alpha-male yet, but these 2 are in for the running of the position; who is more likely to become alpha? Nathan the house cook or John James the better looking of the 2.

Are you kidding! Nothing strong about Nathan - just a little sheep! At least JJ thinks for himself - agree with him or not! Why do we need an alpha-male - they are usually completely predictable - adding nothing different to the series!

The fact he is in charge of the kitchen makes him a strong housemate, however on screen it doesnt show as he is barely around.

The kitchen is a good place to hide, when you have nothing interesting to say - and it makes him useful to the house - therefore ensuring he stays, for now, at least! If he didn't cook - he would be long gone!

I think if anyone is the alpha male then it is Steve. you dont have to strut about to be Top...just quiet power...Steve just sits calmly and comments occasionally but they all seem to respect him and no one would argue with him. There only complaint was his snoring....which doesnt seem to get mentioned now.
Nathan just seems to posture about and JJ is too insecure to be an Alpha male

I agree with you there Wombai, however because of this role he has made himself essential so housemates will do their best to be on his good-side.

And nah dont see Steve as alpha, he doesnt get involved enough and doesnt offer his opinions as much as these two.

I agree with that! I am surprised he wasn't mentioned - as his disability doesn't make him any less of a man - actually, more so! He is undoubtedly the alpha-male - and a positive one - not a macho idiot!
