I've read so much about who is leaving and who is staying. Last night watching the show I tried to round up my thoughts on this, because there is so many changes, I could do with a recap.

So far we have said goodbye to:

I read that Michaela was getting a quick exit, has that happened yet?

Wow didn't know it was that much. I'll miss Jake, Kris, Malachy, Steph and Zak. Looks like there going for a whole new cast

Yes, I agree, although Sarah's exit was awesome.

I do believe it will redeem itself with a host of new characters. It was great in the past, so I'm prepared to stick with it for the time being.

I think although some characters will be missed Hollyoaks has always been a show where people come and go. There will still be some familiar choices around for now as the contracts there are only 1-2 years at a time.

The audience will then have to get used to the newbies and the producers will have to make sure that the characterisation is spot on and that the storylines make sense, it's a new era for the show.
