After winning the box task earlier today by spending a whopping 52 minutes under cardboard, Rula was awarded her prize. And it sure is natty.

Entering the Diary Room, Rula was greeted with a golden parcel. Frantically unwrapping it to a fanfare and a cannon of stars, Rula held up her reward - a pair of pants.

But these aren't any old y-fronts, Rula had scooped Big Bro's Pants of Power.

Providing Rula wears the pants at all times she will be granted special powers at the next round of nominations.

However, if she removes the beige beauties, except for when showering and sleeping, they will lose their power and Rula will face the public vote at the next eviction.

She will also automatically face the public vote if she reveals the Pants' special powers to her fellow Housemates.

Modelling the pants outside the Diary Room, Rula caused a flurry of curiosity from her fellow Housemates.

"What do they give you?" asked Chantelle?

"They are powerful pants," replied Rula, fiddling with her waistband.

"They're too big," added Pete.

"I'm glad I didn't sit in a box all day for that," deadpanned Chantelle.

"It's psychological warfare," said Pete.

Michael was mystified, and spent the next few minutes asking everyone what the Pants were but nobody replied.

Finally he cornered all-seeing, all-knowing Chantelle.

"Do you know what their meaning is?" he begged.

"No," she replied. "But it will all come out in the wash."

Keep em guessing Rula? They're already hot-wash on your tail.

17.05 Rula out - she said she couldn't say - then she came out with "There were 2 people nominated & she had to choose a 3rd! Rula knows all the nominations - she's crying now because they're all asking her who's up & saying they won't know to stop her getting upset about it. She is calling it negative power not positive from the pants!!!
So 3 up for eviction -
