I hate the way everyone knows everyone before they go in the house.
How the hell is fair on sam that josie has turned the whole house against sam before he even entered the house. This year has been the worst i have ever known for it..the idea that they are all locked together for 3 days before bb even starts makes a joke of the whole idea of putting 12 strangers in a house together. Josie and john james did not know eachother before and look how they have got on...same as dave and ben..they made a real friendship. I think meeting under them circumstances intensifies feelings |

We get people that obviously already knew each other, already had ideas, already have some kind of relationships we don't know about but they already started. That is part of the reason I didn't care to rush to the highlight program and see what happens when they first meet and introduce themselves to the new HM. Because that happened already months ago. So I can't see that anyways. This maybe another reason why its just as well BB comes to an end now. They don't care. Seems most of the audience doesn't care either. Just looking at these forums and most newer viewers just want 'crazy summer party rotation house' and don't give a toss about 'bb premise' or any 'social experiment' or anything like that. So yeah... its over now ![]() |

I've thought about this a few times, but I can't say it's really bothered me this time. I know how it can piss people off, buy I just accept that this is the final series and I really just want to enjoy this the best I can.
It doesn't change the way I like the housemates, I like to focus more on how they react with each other over longer periods.

I don't get all this secrecy crap, most forum members (if not the general public) know that there is a long process involved where the future HMs get to know one another at a secret location over a considerable length of time.
Endemol just wants to preserve the myth that a bunch of random "strangers" meet for the first time in the house. Almost as bad as their paranoia about censoring Live Stream to make sure that they get viewers for their botched attempts at HighLight shows!

at one time, it was forbidden under BB rules for HMs to discuss if they had previously met at auditions - tho we were told via Marcus if this had happened and it affected the way one or two HMs inter-acted: but it would certainly have prevented any "hate" commengts coming out like discussed above.
It was also forbidden to discuss previous BB series, but it seems gto have been a topic discussed quite a lot this time |

They ****ed up with the way they put HMs in this year, no doubt about that. Should have just picked the ones they wanted and put them in the usual way - getting out of cars and that, it's silly that most have met eachother before.

I just think they are trying to be different from the norm.
It's the final series and I guess they are throwing in all different formats, maybe some formats they had been talking about over the last few years. It makes a change and the viewer doesn't always know what is coming next. Old fans stay away because the show has become too predictable, comments like 'same old, same old' springs up quite a few times when discussing why viewers have switched off. Some may prefer the new format and think it works well, with some who obviously don't.

at least they show/tell you that they have met before. Not like the US version this year. Im rewatching the first eps. just to make sure.
the host tells you "This is the first time that the houseguests are all seeing one another. They are not allowed to speak to each other till they are all inside the house" from what ive read they all got shoved into the house 5 days prior to the premiere. =/ |

There's various reasons why BB's died the way it has
Right from BB1 5 of the 11 HMs admitted they wanted to have a career as singer/songwriters or TV presenters, from BB2 they've all been cast as 'characters', BB5 to cause conflict, and BB6 onwards as just too 'out there' Lack of alcohol to avoid any risque behaviour and Ofcom complaints Intervening during heated arguments to avoid claims of bullying and Ofcom complaints Producer manipulation via sending Nikki back in, sending in housemates' partners or ex partners, Tree of Temptation, Davina McCaw Bizarre or repeated twists to make it more of an entertainment show than social experiment e.g. double evictions, sending people back in, Halfway house Total lack of regard for the original concept of the show e.g. HMs that know eachother, sending in multiple guests (Army guy, Andrew Stone, every single person from the 'ignore the obvious' task), allowing HMs to leave the house via Lisa and David's London task, Ben's stand-up routine, or Corin and Andrew's singing Annihilation from the press from pretty much every year but CBB5 took the biscuit
