Default I can't stand Steve

He's getting on my nerves more and more all the time. He's a nice guy, sure, and yes he shouldn't of been blown up and obviously that's bad. But he is B-O-R-I-N-G and a waste of a housemate...I don't think he should be staying in on pity because he has a happy life on the outside it would seem. I hope the housemates have the guts to nominate him again this week...anyone agree?

I think no matter what you say he's a hero, brave to go into the army at the times of the troubles, and brave to do the charity work he does.
It's a poor show the way BB have treated him. He was my winner for a while, but now it's JJ.

Notice in the DR BB said "how do you feel about you CONTINUING PRESENCE in the house".

I guess that's all steve is to some people, not an inspiration, but a continuing presence.

what will BB do if he wins it. Send him a cheque in a Jiffy bag without so much as a note, like they did his medal. Disgraceful.

Remember, he may be a boring HM BUT BB approach him, not the other way round. He was head hunted.

AND the week they sent Keely in to make a show of him, was service heros week.

Well I get how you see him as an inspiration for how he's coped with he's disability and got on with his life, but soldiers in Belfast during the troubles are not men to be looked up to.

I can't say I know enough about the 70's early 80's NI politics as I was only born in early 80's so I'll take your word for it.

What I meant was, he joined the army knowing his life at some point would be in real danger.

TBF though he is a little sleazy with the girls, territorial, AND a boring HM8

They defended british soil with honour unlike the murderous cowards scuttling around in the shadows like sewer rats that nearly took his life.

Agreed.

I like Steve and echo his bravery, but I don't think he's been a great house mate. He spends most of his time sitting on the settee

Yes no problem with that point of view i like him but hell i can see how a lot of people would see him as boring and dislike him for that everyone has different tastes in what they want to see in the house which is what makes bb so interesting

Its just posters like kelix that step over the line resorting to stupid insults that i object to.
i have my suspicions about who kelix is and if im proved right they will be getting banned for the 3rd time in 24 hours they certainly arent a new member thats for sure

Really and what qualifies you to make a statement like that. I would say the opposite and the fact the servicemen over there saved more lives on both sides of the divide than either group of terrorist paramilitaries.

I'm tired of people thinking that Steve is "a hero" and that has some relevance in this BB experience.

Your BB existance should start with entry into the house, what you do whilst you're there and stop when you leave. What you did before, what life did to you should no be an advantage in a game show.

Steve is boring beyond words. Even when something happened to excite him - his wife turning up - he couldn't articulate his own thoughts and just repeated, parrot fashion, Dave's words about "Glory in the house". Every sentence is littered with "f--k" nother sign of low intellegence.

I think disabilities aside, they should have no bearing on what people think, but likewise they shuouldnt be any reason for special treatment either,Clearly there is a lot that Steve can do for a short time, such as the whisking with the robot task, but when you have tasks where all he does is be like referee and judging or keeping score, thats not fair,he still has full mental cpacity and can easily handle thinking content of any tasks so that should be the tasks they ALL do not just him, clearly with individual tasks then something diffferend can be done as to being more physical for the more able boided contestants.

Having said that, Steve is a really boring housemate, h eholds extreme views that are quite offensive to people likely and also he has been so much of a grunmbler, especially when the younger housemates were having fun up to 1 a.m. Also he snores and really snores which if I was in there would send me crazy, I would be shaking him though the night to wake him up so I could get peace,he is also annoying in that if he wants fun, everyone has to join in, when he doesn't they should not have fun too loudly so as not to annoy him.

For me though and it may well be harmless, but when Keeley and Rahel went in his eyes lit up and I found the near instant touching, kissing, cuddling and rather intimate conversations a little odd, also the lying on Keeleys bed and like Andrew said, when he sniffed Keeleys pillow.
Just things that have you looking at him in a way, that is a long way from when he first went in and then add all that to the fact that he is very boring too,he has little to say and even less that he does.
Last week was the final straw, the save and replace task, other housemates had to help in the task, housemates he could have put up when he won it,that was rediculous, the task should have been one HE could do alone, with the other eviction nominees, and for that reason I found the bias to helping him there unfair.
That therefore is unfair to the others and as for being the Baron, that grates on me,so for me Steve is not a good housemate, without any save and replace task he would certainly have gone last week, and the task given was more of a whole team task than an ecictione nominess task and that;s what epople who want Steve out now, don't like about him and his time in BB too,

Did you see the pic of him lying in the nest with Rachel snuggled up to his chest? No wonder his wife looked so angry in the video and said 'We're doing fine without you'. He's embarassing her and I feel really sorry for her.

You can read whatever nasty things you want into her comments - but they are just your interpretation on what she said!

She more than likely felt uncomfortable because of all the nasty name calling and comments about her looks from people on here! She was there and she said she loved and missed him - what more do you want!

Angry? She was probably petrified of the next round of insults she'd be getting for not being seen as pretty. And frightened her kids would be brought into it just for the fun of it.

Sleazy bore. The only time he remembered the family he supposedly loves so much, was when Keeley was gone and he couldn't feel up her arse any more and BB physically sat his wife in front of him in the ignore task, all of a sudden its 'Steve the family man' again.

If it's true that BB was specifically looking for an injured ex soldier to put in the house, surely they could have found someone with a personality. It says a lot about his dull personality that his most interesting moments were when he was perving on Rachel and Keeley.

Steve seems to be really unpopular in the house, he still has not got any friends. He is either activley disliked by Andrew or totally ignored, spends nost of the time on his own.

Waste of a housmate - I think he was put in to stir up some controversy when he was evicted early but its badly backfired on the producers.
