He has never fought in a war! He was posted in Northern Ireland, which isn't classified as a war.

I think all the publicity about Afghanistan has led people to believe he has ever been in a war zone but he hasn't.

How old are you - do you even remember? N. Ireland was very much like a war zone for soldiers back then - ffs Steve got his legs blown off - very dangerous times in a very dangerous place!

i know...for a father of 8-10 kids who hasnt worked in 20 years and with 2 divorces....it was revolting to watch...

people were actually defending him on the forum saying he could do what he liked on the basis that he's a 'war hero'...

I think people defend him because of the way he has dealt with his disability. He doesn't seem bitter in the slightest. I rate him for that.
