I've heard it all now from the Daily Star...Moysey to Villa?!!
Also being reported that we're going in with a 13mil bid for Remy, errrr and we're getting this money from where exactly?! Everton are making an audacious £13million move for Loic Remy - and will help fund it by selling Yakubu to West Ham. Nice striker Remy, 23, has turned into one of the hottest transfer properties this summer and is due to make his France debut against Norway on Wednesday. West Ham have been at the forefront of the chase but have been unable to come up with the necessary cash and realise £8m-rated Yakubu is a more realistic target. Tottenham and Stoke have also shown interest but have other targets and Remy acknowledges Everton represent his best opportunity of coming to the Premier League. Although Everton have been struggling to find funds, the club's backers want to give manager David Moyes the chance to break back into the Premier League's top four. They see Remy as the man to give the side the clinical touch they are missing. What a load of ****e, we'd be lucky to get 8mil for Yak, and we can't afford Donovan at 10mil so where the hell is the money going to come from?? The clubs backers?!! We've just secured Arteta and working on Pienaar (both with a significant hike in wages)..I don't know where they get their info from.

He's apparently got a clause in his contract meaning if he's dropped from the main squad he can apply to have his contract terminated. Therefore if he gets dropped from the 25-man squad he can effectively quit and recieve a severance pay from Man City which will benefit us as well as him as it will be a lot less than his current 90k a week contract. Then he could join us on a free, and he's previously stated playing football isn't about money so he'd take a huge pay cut

West Ham have reportedly put in another offer for the Yak, the last one of 7mil was turned down so unless this is closer to 9, it's going to be knocked back too and rightly so.
We're being linked to Crouch now as well

West Ham United have made another bid for Everton Yakubu after having a £7 million offer rejected last month, reports Sky Sports News.
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/...-yakubu-report If they can keep him fit then that is a great signing for them. He usually averages between 15-20 goals a season. Also opens the door for Carlton Cole to come to us |

We are starting Allan McGregor in goals though, but i think David Marshall should be starting, he's much better IMO! They don't take an interest in anything apart from the EPL. |

Good luck to West Ham with Yakubu if they get him, I honestly don't think he's got 15/20 goals a season in him anymore, plus he's become awfully lazy, but then this is what he does, has a couple of good seasons for a club and then gets restless and complacent so maybe him going would actually be a blessing for us and for the Hammers. I don't think Moysey wants to sell him though :s

Just got my ticket for the Liverpool-Trabonzspor game Hopefully we'll tie that up in the first leg so thousands of fans don't have to travel to some disgusting city.
Anyway Liverpool's Roy Hodgson has emerged as the latest manager to express an interest in the transfer of out-of-favour Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy this summer. |

Jamie Carragher will be a team captain in a special A Question of Sport event to raise money for his 23 Foundation and Radio City's Cash for Kids.
Carra will join host John Parrott in an all-Merseyside line-up which will also include Peter Reid, Ian Snodin, Mike Newell and Steve Parry. A Question of Sport Derby Challenge takes place at the Hilton in Liverpool at 7pm on September 2 - two days before Carra's testimonial. Tickets for the event cost £35 - or £300 for a table of 10. This includes a curry and a pint, the chance to bid in a charity auction and an opportunity quiz the stars in a Q&A. I must go to this |
