Coronation Street's Rovers Return will reportedly face rivalry from a new wine bar owned by Nick Tilsley.

Nick, played by Ben Price, will use the money he makes from selling his share of Underworld to open the bar in the old joinery, reports The Sun.

"The Joinery will really give the Rovers Return cause to worry," a source told the paper.

"Nick taunts Liz [McDonald] about her pub being out of date, and it hurts, because the comments hit on a few home truths."

They added: "They will lose a lot of the younger, cooler crowds."

The plans follow on from Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and Peter Barlow's (Chris Gascoyne) failed plans to open a bar in the premises last year. However Nick will apparently offer his ex-wife a manager's role in the business.

"Nick and Leanne clearly have unfinished business," the source said. "Peter will encourage her to go for her dream, but it could backfire in his face."
