Default Why does BB only play songs over 20 years old into the house :(

Its almost as if Shaun is selecting the songs.
Play something current ffs.

It's pretty lame. Ife's Tina Turner party was the worst.

Each housemate submits a list of favourite music to BB, prior to entering the house, who in turn submitted the list and pay pre-announced royalties(cheaper than paying for broadcasting without permission - thats why they also replace housemates singing and whistling on LF etc) for public broadcast of those songs.

Blame the housemates for the music selection not BB.

Don't think broadcasters have to pay the royalty fee for older material...........hence why shows on little local radio stations are often largely ancient stuff

That must explain why when channels play loads of old stuff, they never play the Beatles.

Yeah well it might have a little somethin' to do with that the more modern the music the less of it that's decent... also... all the housemates other than Andrew are over 20 years old so they are only really playing the music of said peoples' times. And just to reiterate - the older music is much better than trash today.

There's plenty of decent modern music.

And all the old stuff they play is not very good anyway.

There is a fair bit of decent stuff today, just a lot of the actual popular music today is dreadful, terrible... kinda' embarassing. For example Rihannas' cover of Tainted Love made me cringe. That's called taking a great song and butchering it but anyway I hate the stigma and negativity expressed towards older music, simply because it's old.
