Default This years show

Chantelle is the favorite to win at the moment with most bookies but what will that do to the future of the show? Will celebs still want to come on it if a none celeb wins this year? We have/will be all spending money voting for what celeb we want but then if a none celeb goes on and wins it that is stabbing the celebs in the back and the future of the show will change as people will always think a none celeb could walk in and win.

The fact that a "nobody" can win for me makes the show pointless. Sure she was the underdog and shouldnt of been there in the first place but what has she really done to earn a win?

Most people (either press or public or both lol) dislike Jodie, George, Michael, and Pete Burns to name the main BIG characters that were in the house but isnt that why we all watch? For the fights...for the arguements....for the entertainment.

How many of you would still of watched this if the house just contained Traci, Maggot, Rula, faria,Dennis, Chantelle and preston characters?

Also the fact of a romance might/might not happen is a reason some people watch like Davina always wants some romance in the house. But if that romance is at someone else expence...like Prestons girlfriend thats not really a nice thing to encourage.

I agree with all of that, but now I want to see a celebrity enter the house for BB7, and have to convince them all that they're a nobody.

I agree with all of your post GE - but especially the bits I've quoted. I do like Maggot though - but either he has missed out with the editing, or the BB house is just not the right stage for him.

I guess the easy way round that is to not invite another non-'celeb'.

It will be funny next year if they invite someone in that is a celeb but not known to the others...they will all think they are on a secret mission.

If they turn out to be like Chantelle then it'll just be annoying

Yes, we've all dispised the likes of George and Pete, and Micheal to a lesser extent maybe, but tuesday nights jaw droppingly explosive argument was one of the best bits of reality tv i've ever seen. ( i've got it permanantly stored on my sky+ planner..and watched it several times), so we've got them to thank for that. I still support George and his "stop the war in Iraq" campaign, but now, if he knocked on my door for a cup of sugar, i'd politly say "Not today George" How can he say he NEVER says anything he regrets! and holds grudges. Noone really cares THAT MUCH that he acted like a cat lapping milk, or danced robotics in a pink leotard, BUT .. his pathetic behaviour with Preston and Chantelle was abhorent. not to mention his attack on Barrymore. He repulses me.

i hear he's on Richard and Judy at 5pm tonight .. i hope they give him a harder time than Davina, she let him off the hook. Typical MP, wriggled his way out of every argument. I was seriously hoping he would get "egged" when he came out the house last night. he is nothing but a lying plutocrat, whatever that is.

I think the thing to remember is we will all like different people and have different opinions about them. The thing to remember is if your thoughts are different it does not make the other person wrong! I personally dont like George one little bit. I think he is a vile man who cares for nothing other than his own political career. That said if you want him round for tea then thats up to you.

if you invite him round, dont gorge yourselves on croissants and jam sandwiches, just stand in the middle of the room and say " i will not eat any of this when there are people starving in poor countries"

Maybe Jodie Marsh could re-enter next year?

Re: GlitterEyes' post.. I don't think it should affect next year's show. The show needed a bit of spicing up and I think we got the perfect twist.

I would have watched whoever was in there so it didn't bother me. But I have to say I quite enjoyed it this year because of some of the great characters.

Next years show has a lot to live up to after this one.

In responce to the original post lets face it in all reality the "celebs" on CBB are Z-listers at best and most of jump jump at the chance of getting on the show anyway..

I knew Dennis, Michael, Jodie, Preston, Maggot, kind of Pete.

So whats the problem?
They are celebrities. At least one person knew them

I think this years show would of gone just aswell without Chantelle in imo. I think it was a one off show where they tried to see what happened but realistically If chantelle wins the public have been cheated...apart from the chantelle fans.

I don't know about that. Take the 'celebrity' part away and it's much the same as any other series of BB. Most people had little or no prior knowledge of many of this year's hm's, and as such, their 'celebrity status' is fairly meaningless. So in that sense, she has just as much right to win as anyone else - although personally, I'd be quite disappointed if she did win.

I think this may be a one off that a non celebrity is mingled with the celebrities.
